Wait…are Loki’s hands NOT restrained??? Because the way he was standing made it look like they were, but no he’s just standing like that.
That seems like a vulnerable feeling, nervous, kinda defensive body language tbh
They’re certainly taking a tremendous risk!
Perhaps an act of ‘trust’ to get Loki to trust them and work with them. They might have other security in place but by not chaining Loki like a rapid animal, he’ll approach them differently. Like he did with the Grandmaster.

Loki also bent over double just after brainwashing Clint and Selvig.
the Black Order messed up his back while he was being tortured, and Thor just landed him right on the injury.
His back also looked like it was going to give out when he climbed into the back of the Hummer they used to get out of the SHIELD base when it was collapsing.(Unfortunately I can’t find a gif for this just now, but this is from that scene.)
This also explains why it took him so long to recover from the Hulk-smash. Maybe in part he just called it a day, but given that he’d only just gotten out of the mini-crater when the Avengers showed up (instead of, say, grabbing a seat somewhere and saving his pride), quite a lot of it was because of his injuries from torture, which would’ve already been strained by previous events in the movie.
Did I hear someone ask for a hyper-specific Loki gif?
And you still have people who dispute the obvious fact that he was tortured. 🙄

This also shows that while Loki had Hawkeye under his control, meaning Loki would make sure no one exposed his weakness, Hawkeye was still somewhere in there.
